Narrowing Of Stools

My wife has serious narrowing of her stool and has large of amount of bleeding during her bowel movement, Should we be concerned? Her Dr, has order the needed test.

I would be concerned if it was me. These signs are indicative of a tumor in the colon or rectum. Let us know what the tests say.

Definitely be concerned!. I had the same symptoms and my
Kaiser HMO primary care physician kept insisting that I had
hemorhoids, not to be concerned. A year and a half later,
feeling fatigued, I "pushed" for a colonoscopy and the same
diagnosis was hemorhoids. Following that, a year and a half
later (now a total of 3 years went by) I was feeling fatigued, I
then insisted on a biopsy... diagnosis rectal adenocarcinoma,
CANCER. Had surgery, wear an ostomy bag and am dealing
with swollen cancerous lymph nodes. Be speedy. God guide
you into action.

I hope your wife is ok I just want to say they misdiagnosed me for 3 years even though they checked my blood. They said everything was fine even though there was mucous in my stool narrowing and finally I insisted on a colonoscomy and they found Stage 4 rectal cancer, Please unless you have a colonoscomy, you can't be sure . Thanks to all for your kind words and your sharing. Just the last few days my wife has had intestinal blockage and we are on the way to the ER. I will insist on a biospy(sp). Thanks again. Greg
