Symptoms

i need to know the symptoms in late lymphoma.stages and symptoms for each stage.

That is a hard question to answer. There are low grade and high grade lymphoma's.There are several types of lymphoma.When I was diagnosed with stage two anaplastic lage B cell non-hodgkins lymphoma in 2000 I had a knot that had been on my neck for about seven months,before I found out what it was.I basically had no symtoms.When I was diagnosed with diffuse large B cell in 2004 I had been feeling very poorly with pnuemonia like symtoms for three months.When it was diagnosed I was stage four,it was in my liver,lungs, spleen and abdomin.Your best bet would be to go to the lukemia and lymphoma society website.There is alot of interesting information there.Low grade lymphoma's are slower at growing and spreading then high grade lymphoma's.Best of luck to you. my wife has a lump on her left thigh, she went to the doctor, and the doctor told her that it was some kind of lymphoma or a fat mass, but nothing to worry about. should she get a second opinion?

Has your wife's doctor done a biopsy to determine if it is a lymphoma? She should also have a catscan. If he assumes and does't run tests to be certain what it is, then tell him you would prefer to have tests done to be safe. I was told over and over for three months I had pnuemonia and they were wrong!Lymphoma is highly curable these days.Symtoms can include, weight lose, night sweats,a knot that doesn't go away,weakness,loss of appetite.If you feel you need a second oppinion then by all means get one, thats a patients right.Please keep me posted on what your wife finds out.
