Avastin w/ Chemo Treatment?

Hi, A doctor has recently informed my parents of Avastin, an experimental treatment to combine with chemo. She was diagnosed with stomach cancer(III or IV) in January and has had 3 rounds of chemo. While her cancer cells have been dramatically reduced, her largest tumors are still not small enough for surgery. The side effects are scary. Has anyone used Avastin?
