One year post radiation for nasopharyngeal carcinoma

I am trying to live life the best I can, but I have a few side effects from the radiation.  I have jaw problems from degeneration due to radiation.  I went to a dentist who made me a night splint.  Despite that I had a letter stating facts, and the dental work being medically neccesary. The insurance only covered $39.00 of the $600.00.  I now have been referred to an orthodontist.  I can only imagine the fight this is going to be.  I also need laser treatment on my chin because it looks like a prune from the radiation.  I could get breast reconstruction covered at 100%.  I guess I got the wrong kind of cancer.  Seems there is discrimination between cancers and what insurance companies will cover.

Sucks,

Paula
