Scorpion Venom As The Cure

Hi All,
I have been writing on this board since my moms dx back in july of 2005. She has since had two clear MRI's and is doing great. She is 61 yrs old this week and is back working full time and only really suffers from being tired. I was recovering from my mom's last visit which was two weeks ago, she traveled from New Jersey to Boston and would not stop cleaning my house. Anyway, after she left I couldn't sleep, my house was too clean. I was watching a TV show and learned about Harold Sontheimer. He and his colleagues at the University of Alabama have genetically modified the venom of scorpions so it only attacks the cancer cells in Glioma patients. (GBM) leaving healthy cells alone. This new treatment is aimed at stage 4 brain cancer. Chemo destroys healthy cells as well.
So who knows, can this be the cure? They seem to think it could be.

I didn't see the program about it on TV, but a couple of friends have told me about it since my Dh's diagnosis on 3/27/06. It was some show on PBS.

My dad was diagnosed with GBM stage 4. Can anyone tell me the name of the PBS show or share anymore details? Thank you so much!!!

there is a study on Scorpian venom and GBM.. Please contact 314-577-8794. I did confirm that the study is still ongoing.
