Hello Tanase, I have had Avastin in my last round of treatments. I did not have stomach cancer but had breast cancer. It is a non chemo drug to stop new vein growth that tumors need to get nutrients to grow and spread. I had it in combonation with the chemo drug called Abraxane. I had no real side effects from the Avastin drug itself. The Avastin was givin every two weeks by IV. Your Dad's treatment may differ. As far as diet I just plain old tried to eat healthy and still do. I am on my 3rd accurance of breast cancer and it has gone stage 4 now. This drug combo has done well to supress my cancer. It is not in remission but "under control" and that is a blessing in itself! I am doing well at this time and living a semi normal life. I hope it works as well for your father. I know how hard this is on a family personaly. My husband passed away last June of head and neck cancer. We have had a hard road the past several years and my heart goes out to you sweety. But if it makes you feel any better I have been at this cancer thing for 10 years. So there is some hope for him to possibly manage this for a while. Keep in touch on how he is doing. Bless you and your Dad! Andrea
