My husband has stage 4 cancer of the stomach and someone has given us a packet on a product called "Protocel". I am interested if anyone out there has heard of it or better yet, tried it. Please contact me if you know something about this? Thanks, Marci

The last two years I have had PSA readings in the mid-4s.  My urologist recommended a biopsy.  In early December, I had the biopsy and was diagnosed with early stage Prostate cancer (Gleason Score 6).  In the consultation to review the biopsy results in early December, my urologist and I discussed the options including prostatectomy, radiation, watchful waiting, etc.  He said that I had time to think about the options and in the meantime we would monitor PSA's and have another biopsy six months after the one in December.

I am a Microbiologist and have done some cancer research in my career, so I decided to research alternatives.  While not a conspiracy theorist, I do feel that the medical establishment does not give any kind of fair consideration to alternative treatments.  I came up with what I felt were three viable alternative cancer treatments and decided to try the Protocel first.  I took the Protocel 23 (the one recommended for Prostate Cancer) according to the directions in February and March.  Last week, on March 29th I had blood drawn for a PSA.  Today I had my appointment and got the results, since the labs won't send the results to you unless your doctor authorizes this even though it is my blood and I am paying for the test, and my PSA was 3.0  I did not tell the doctor yet that I am taking the Protocel.  My plan is to continue taking it and get another prostate biopsy in July, already scheduled.  At that point, I will post the results.

Obviously, I am very encouraged by the PSA drop to 3.0, as the normal level at which they recommend biopsies is 4.0 (although the Urological Society is discussing lowering this to 3.0) and hopeful that the disease in being eliminated.

I will publish my results in late July when I get the results of the biopsy.

One of our members is using protocel as part of her treatment plan to deal with her breast cancer alternatively.    She has done a good deal of research on this product and it's use and offers excellent information about it and other alternatives as well on her blog  .........   http://motherearthtreasurechest.blogspot.com/

I am on Protocel and I just wanted to know what kind of diet should I be on, I know I am not to eat  any suger and no vitamin C but as for the reg foods what should I eat. I heard that meats expeacialy red meats were bad so I don't eat any red meats any more I just eat chicken but is that also bad? Can someone tell me what they eat so I can kinda get an idea of what to eat. I am also getting lysing bubbly urine, runny nose even on a hot day and lots of sweating. If someone can help me out that would me great.

Hi.  I was wondering why you would not take Vitamin C. Vitamin C is great for your immune system and health.  And for the diet. Have you heard of the budwig diet. I have done a lot of research on it and it seems to be really awesome.  My mom has ovarian cancer and it has metastasized to other spots. She is taking Chemo and doing ok with it. I know chemo sucks but there is so much info out there, its hard to try and go alternative.  And i try to make her eat healthy and stuff but she is not disciplined at all.  Do you or anybody know if protocell is ok to take with chemo?

I do not recommend Protocel. I do not recommend any specific alternative cancer treatment. Different treatments work on different people. The trick is to find the one that works father. The only aid I know of is the "alternative cancer test kit" which I believe you can find by searching Google using those words.

Hey Snowman I noticed your very negative in a lot of other post as well, you must be a doctor!! I defenitly recommend Protocel it is one of the best out there. Please do your research because cancer is curable it's just that there is so much money in cancer that the big company don't want to find a cure because if they did they will not be around.

Hi,  I will preface with stating that I DO NOT work in the medical industry.  Nor am I affiliated with it in any financial matter.  I simply decide to look at all of the FACTS instead of just one half of them. And I use common sense.

In regards to big companies being in it for the money.  That is a complete cop-out and illogical.  Cancer is such a controversial and wide-spread disease that whoever found the cure for it would be a sure-fire Nobel Peace prize winner, winner of multiple other awards, and history maker.  Not only that, whoever successfully finds the cure for cancer would then be thrown unlimited money to find the cure for other illnesses / diseases.  Seriously.  I urge you to use some rational thought.  Or do you honestly believe once cancer is cured all other diseases, such as AIDS, HIV, Hepititis, will just 'magically'vanish???

Also, when looking at the facts half of the problem is that Protocel has never been clinically trialed and does not have any measurable proof of its work.  And alternative medicine markets don't have to provide ALL facts (like statistics on both survivors and those who unfortunately did not make it).  They don't have to be accountable for their actions like the traditional medical field does.  The reason why you don't hear the failures of Protocel is because those who failed are no longer here to let you know.  And the alternative health industy members who promote Protocel are not forth-coming in that information.  So you only get half the facts.

I urge you to look at ALL the facts, before it's too late.

We use complementary therapy in the form of energy healing. I had a friend who used Protocell with brain cancer. It did not work out the way she hoped it would, and I would not recommend it. She was certain it was going to be the cure. She had a young child and it was really heartbreaking to watch what she went through with it, then see her die after a few months.

My husband just started taking Protocel for male breast cancer that spread to the brain and he is very weak. The lycing that occurs in the brain can cause some swelling initially and steriods help to keep swelling down while this is happening. Did your father take steriods while on the Protocel? Do you have any information on this particular topic?

I just started on Protocel on Friday, July 23, 2010.  My plan is to take it for three months before making anymore decisions.  I am dealing with the issue of breast cancer.  Five women I have spoken to so far said they were pushed through "the system" of conventional treatment   - mammogram, biopsy, surgery - and were given no time to think things through.

I want to give the Protocel a chance.
