Dad had a follow up appt with the Medication Oncologist today and looks like he will be starting chemo the Monday after Christmas. They are starting him on Gemzar and FU5. 3 weeks on, 1 week off. With lab work to monitor cell counts weekly.
Can anyone give me some information on the Gemzar/FU5 treatments? What to expect regarding side effects, effectiveness and out come of the treatments?
