I am 62 years old and have lived for 43 years with no stomach.  After my surgery in 1967 (i was 18), i remember asking, "can a person live without a stomach?"

i have often wondered if there was anyone else who had survived so long after a total gastrectomy.

That's great. You are truly one of the miracles out there.  BTW, what stage were you and what kind of stomach cancer did you have?  And may you never have cancer again!

Happy holidays!

Ivy :)

Wow! That is amazing! You have been able to eat a normal diet? May you live many more years! God bless you!
