How do lifestyle factors and exposure to environmental substances affect our cancer risk?

I'm looking for information on Perthes disease left undiagnosed and it's effects on families. Have had brother and son with necrosis of the hip and one son on bone strengthening medications. Too weird to be unassociated. All I can find is information on children when diagnosed early and none on adults. Thanx
