Trying to Diagnose

I have had a series of blood work and urine tests done over the past month. They have tested for every bacterial infection and I did a week on antibiotics to make sure with no success. I have pelvic pain and pressure, very irregular period, frequent felling to urinate and some rectal pain. My dr wants to do a laproscopy next week I believe to check for endometriosis. The next step I believe would to do further testing for cancer. I had a CA-125 test done and it came back 2. Doesn't that ensure no gynecologic cancer? Any help / info would be appreciated.

Ask your Doctor to do an "Antimalignan Antibody Serum"(AMAS)test. This test will check for any cancer any where in your body and it is 96+% accurate. You can search for "AMAS Test" with your web browser to get complete information about it. Noland R. Durnell

Tswag: I am sorry that you are going through all of these medical tests and I am sure that they will find the culprit, however I had to reply because the CA-125 is a marker for ovarian cancer and not necessarily full-proof to determine if a growth on the ovary is cancerous. It is not considered a marker for Uterine cancer or cervical cancer. Please do not think that you have a gynological cancer until you have a biopsy or a D&C, if those are tests that your doctor recommends. I hope that your doctors can find the problem shortly and I am sure that you will be on your way to a good recovery.

The symptoms you have described sound very similar to what my wife experienced prior to being diagnosed with interstitial cystitis. I would certainly look into ruling this out before going thru a bunch of tests for cancer.

Hi, I was having a problem responding to this message and posted a new message on the board...anyway...it sounds like Endometriosis or Adnomiosis. I had heavy, heavy periods, pelvic pain, tailbone pain, frequent urination, sometimes pain in thighs. Ask for a internal ultrasound. Good luck..Ty
