Cancer of The Shoulder

i'm not sure i have cancer, but i am in excruciating pain of the shoulder and upper arm. i was exrayed last week, put on medrol dospak medication, and hydrocodon for the pain. i have no insurance. the doctor said he saw alot of arthritis but could not tell if i had bone cancer. i cannot raise my left arm. this came on me gradually, the past 6 weeks. i am really depressed about who to go to to know what to do, or if i even have cancer. thankyou. thebee/deb

I would request another opinion from an orthopedic surgeon to find out what is going on with the joint. Good luck with this.

Shoulder

My DH has had a lot of trouble with his left shoulder. After xrays and other diagnostics, we found that he has frozen shoulder. He is undergoing lengthy physical therapy. There is a covering over the shoulder that for some reason has become hardened. With the PT it is getting somewhat better. I wouldn't start thinking cancer because the shoulder is so painful. My DH was in a lot of pain and still has pain. I wouldn't stop trying to get a diagnosis, though. Do seek out an Orthopedic Surgeon to evaluate your shoulder. May God bless you and yours, >^..^< Kitty in WA >^..^< <>< PS I have low grade NHL stage 4. I developed HD 2 yrs ago and was treated aggressively for it. I am still dealing with side effects. The NHL has come back. My Oncologist said my bone marrow is damaged and therefore I cannot take any new therapies or have a stem or bone marrow transplant. I would like to know if there are differing opinions I should seek out.
