Hello,

I was taking the shot for two years but I stopped due to the side effects of it. My experience with it was not good at all. It will have effects on your Thyroid, gallbladder, blood pressure and intestinal tract.

Try your best to change your diet. Eat more vegetables avoid red meat, alcohol and anything fried.

Look into doing Liver, Colon, and Kidney cleanses. It may sound like alot to do but it will help deal with this better.

I do Ozone therapy ad Tradiotional Chinese Medicine. I just started the Ozone but the TCM works at the root cause of the cancer and it is helping.

hi smylee, my stepmom just started this treatment last week and 4 days after the shot she had diaherria for three days.  This week she started the first chemo treatment of 6 cycles.  3 days chemo 3 weeks off. Sandostatin every 28 days.   So far she has had no ill effects. She has small cell lung cancer and liver cancer. One doctor said that she might have 6 months,  I really do not know how they can determine this.  All I have read on this shot it is a very aggressive medication.  So I guess the bad part will be worth it.  Stay positive and there will be a better day!

Hi i had carcinoid in the stomach. I used the sandostatin for 6 years. My doctor stop it because of the side effects in my pancreas. i also have my gallblader removed during the treatment. I use 30 mg monthly. I only felt a little bit of pain in the site of the shot; but other wise i did ok. the carcinoids are very difficult to treat. My doctor was Richard Warner in N.Y. he is very good look for his foundation carcinoid .org. Know i have it in my liver. Im preparing for surgery so i hope you the best. i still think the sandostatin was a good treatment for me; and my dr. is going to put me in it again. Take care.

Hi everybody here,

I have recently been diaganosed with a carcinoid tumor in my liver, and will be doing the sandostatin shot, as soon as the pharmacy gets it in stock :) Anyways, I'm nervous, I hate needles! I know, I know, its better than what it could be. Im the type of person that really dont like taking meds for even a headache. Can someoneone tell me how it is that I will feel after the first few doses??
