My sister-in-law is a 3 year survivor of renal cell. She went to the University of Chicago Medical center and participated in a clinical trial. She was given Gemcitabine and Xeloda. She was in stage 4 when it was found. It had spread to her lungs and brain. Long story short, after two years of these drugs, radiation for the lungs and brain, it was completely gone!! Good luck!!!
