Latest messages for CancerCompass discussion http://www.cancercompass.com/message-board/message/all,59955,0.htm Thu, 23 May 2013 00:00:00 GMT Thu, 23 May 2013 00:00:00 GMT http://backend.userland.com/rss RSS.NET: http://www.rssdotnet.com/ Please get treatment quickly, my mom had almost reached her one year check for throat cancer when she got a pain in her back after some messing and debating by GPs whether it was a pulled muscle etc she finally had a back xray which revealed that number 5 and 9 vertabrea were crushed due to tumors, she was rushed into hospital for radiatherapy on these areas to stabalise the bone to stop the possibility of paralysis, she already had extreme leg pain and just started with incontinance.  While in hospital they also revealed to us that she had mets on her ribs and pelvis.  My mom was fit and full of life before the back pain began in June but within 3 weeks of being diagnosed she passed away.  I'm sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear and hopefully it won't be the same for your husband, but please please do treat this with urgency, i do wonder if my mom would still be here now if the GPs had had a little more urgency with her. I've spoken to several cancer patients who've had bone mets to the spine.  They've received treatment and are doing very well now. Keep us posted! Jen H Jenholm25 Sat, 11 Jun 2011 00:00:00 GMT my husband age 59 is an avid footballer. having survive nasal cancee for 7 years, doc found some mass during an mri scan 3 days ago. a sample of the mass was taken for diagnosis. result just confirmed its cancerous at t9 area. at this moment we hv not inform him as i need time to gather more info before we break news to him on tues. so far his lungs, liver and other aareas are clean according to the c t scans. can some pl pl help me? is cancer at t9 curable? doc are now checking where this cancer is coming frrom. i sincerely apprec any help or info cuz i am new to this forum. thanks from my heart janlow Sat, 11 Jun 2011 00:00:00 GMT
