Hi:

Has anyone taken this cruciferous vegetable supplement instead of Arimadex or Temoxafin?  I have taken myself off of Arimadex because of so many side affects and am taking D.I.M.

Hi Kathleen. I had a mastectomy in April 2010 and chose not to take Tamoxifen or Arimadex. I take two capsules of DIM twice per day as per advice from my naturopath. I do believe that DIM will provide a similar level of protection without the risks (eg stroke) associated with drug based treatments. I've seen a great deal of literature highlighting the benefits of eating cruciferous veges in relation to preventing a whole range of illnesses. Obviously this needs to be part of an overall health boosting plan in order for it to be effective and it is an individual and very personal decision. All the best for a positive recovery.
