I am looking for treatment options for stage 4, laryngneal cancer. My dad (from MA) started with Radiation, then Surgery and now low dose chemo. He is maintaining his weight (original 195, since July 138) but loosing his strength. I am sure a lot has to do with the morphine patches and oxycontin. Any suggestions from someone who has been there would be greatly appreciated.

My husband has stage 4 metastatic esophageal cancer and I have been studying the Macrobiotic diet for his treatment. If you haven't read up on this, I recommend you reading "When Hope Never Dies" by Marlene McKenna. I have heard of so many people who have been cured of cancer using this diet (and I personally know 2 people - both were only given a couple months to live before they started the diet.) Per the diet, we have cut out all red meat, all sugar, all white flour, and all milk products and have been eating grains, fruits and vegetables. Although only on the diet for a month, it has greatly improved energy and strength. I don't know if this is even an option for you, but I felt I needed to tell you about it. Judy T. Holland, MI
