The best of the best is in Pittsburgh, Pa at the University of Pitt Medical Center...Dr. David Geller - he's a miracle worker, an optimist and a normal person - unheard of in the world of highly gifted surgeons! He is wonderful...check the website out asap. Email him from his web address...Tell him Michelle sent you..he has helped many folks from this message board. HE IS WONDERFUL and may tell you an oncologist close to your home that you can work with to get the patient where they need to be for him to perform surgery...We put my dad's life in his hands and we just celebrated the one year anniversary on 7/22 of Dad's 14-hour surgery - taking 12" of his colon (thanks to Dr. Wolfgang Schraut at UPMC) and then tag teamed with Dr. Geller so one surgery, comprehensive and got his body rid of the cancer...although 60% of his liver was resected, he never even got jaundice. They also took his appendix and gall bladder for good measure. Within 2 months (11 days in the hospital) dad was farming again, working everyday and golfing. At 62, he is doing great...thanks to these wonderful docs and the greatest oncologist in Columbus, Dr. Ahmed Ghany. NEVER give up..just find those doctors worth fighting with you!!! Best of luck!
