My stepdad was diagnosed with less than 2 months to live -- that was back in March. So far there has been no progression of the cancer. He takes mgn-3 max dose, just started coral calcium and ultra 7. Mom is also following Challenge Cancer and Win. He started the MGN-3 about 5 days after the diagnosis and started feeling better within a few days. Docs didn't even offer chemo or anything. Said go home and enjoy your remaining time. It's not cheap. Maybe coming out to 100 to $150 a month. But he had an x-ray in Sept that showed the massive tumor had not spread at all, all his organs and blood tests were fine and normal. All the vitamins are not having negative effects, as the doctor was afraid they would. But what's to lose? He's not running a marathon by any means, takes in very easy around the house but they go to church every Sunday, eat out with friends several times a week and often do other easy outings. Up until a few weeks ago he was walking 2 miles in the mall 2-3 times a week. Wants to get back to it but got a little flu bug or something that set him back. I think we're going to try the tea blend of sheep sorrell, burdock root, slippery elm bark and rhubarb root. Kathy S.

Thanks Kathy for your info! I need to know more about Ultra 7, and how much Coral Calcium daily, and, what is the max dose of MGN-3? Am taking the MGN3, 2 caps of 24 daily and some coral calcium! Really need to know this now! Thanks a million!

I can't speak for coral calcium or ultra 7, but MGN 3 should be on every cancer patients list. Why? Because a cancer patients immune system is under terrible duress and MGN 3 'encourages' the NK cells to working harder (a lot harder -between 100 to 300% harder). Also, it does this without overstimulating your immune function.

With the boost to your immune system, your body can begin the process of healing; and this is especially important if you have opted for conventional treatments -chemothapy, in its numerous forms, rides rough-shod over your immune system, doing incredible amounts of damage -I'm sure most of you, as I, have seen this first hand.

Boosting your immune system, then, is incredibly important. Remember though, that due to way chemotherapy works, many/most of your white cells are destroyed by it; this product, and others like it, work on the existing NK cells, so it is probably more cost effective to begin after your chemo has finished. That said, because chemo is only 'so' effective against most cancers, you should not neglect for one moment the role your immune system will play in your successful recovery. I would do it throughout, and look for other ways to promote your health too.

Conrad :)

According to the University of Maryland medical center center good calcium with vit-d and magninizum in it builds good bones, bones make good marrow and good marrow makes oxygen rich blood and cancer cannot grow in oxygen rich blood. As a 6 year caregiver to CLL i feel I have proved that. Tha is just a start bu a good one.

My mom has early stage CLL. Diagnosed about a year ago. Says she will NOT do chemo when the time comes. Current doc basically says chemo or nothing. We're in Birmingham, Alabama and all docs here are "chemo" docs - that we've found. (She's already been through two in the past year.) Alternative/naturo docs are very hard to find. Plus, insurance won't pay for them and mom's not rich. She tried boosting immune system with noni juice and stuff but stopped that because she heard that boosting immune system was the worst for CLL. Not logical to me at all, but don't want to take unnecessary chances. Any insight on that? Now trying to find a doc that will support her choices and help in other ways than chemo. Suggestions?

Yes Edie. If I was to start over with CLL. the first thing I would do is go buy some Caltrate with Vit D and magiusium, in it. The body can only absorb 2100 mg a day so make sure she gets 3,000 mg., as with 3000 mg with the D and mag. it will come to about 1800 mg of calcium she will absorb.
Second thing is read about R M 10 and find out where you can get it in your area, or by mail.
R M 10 has 12 different Chinese and Japanese mushrooms and herbs in it. Very good for the immune system.
Third thing is to take the chemo as her counts should stay hi and she should not have a big problem. Got to kill off the leukemia. Also stay on the pills for ever to keep supporting the body. My wife is on a lot of natural pills but we now have a naturopathic Dr.
Should you tell the Dr.? That depends on the Dr. A lot of Drs will play it down. I did not tell my wifes Dr. and sudden rise in blood counts came as a surprise. After 5 years of supporting him I felt he needed a surprise. She is now 7 months of remission and feeling good Remember Cancer Treatment Centers of America is the best. Good Luck
