Request for Prayer

My dad passed away in 2007 from a rare form of brain cancer, so my family is familiar with how cancer can wreak havoc on your life.  My Uncle Bill, a brother to my dad, had melanoma about 8 years ago and had successful surgery and treatment of the cancer.  Last weekend, we were saddened to receive word that the melanoma has come back, only this time, it is everywhere.  They identified 22 tumors in the brain through CT Scan/MRI, 9 tumors in his lungs and they say it's in his bones now, as well.  To make a long story short, the doctors say there is nothing that can be done, and have given Uncle Bill a month to live.  I lost my mother's sister to the same thing just two years ago.  I ask that those of you who believe in prayer to please pray for my Uncle Bill and our entire family as we all face the days ahead.  Thank you!  Brenda

Oh My, I am so sorry. My thoughts and prayers are with all your family and you.  My husband just finished 4 weeks of interferon for his melanama and I never knew until now how bad melanoma could be.

I am praying for you and your family.

I am so very sorry.. My heart goes out to him.  I have Squamous Carcinoma all over and am now on my 9th day of treatment with Efudex and Chemo Cream.  I started out with a simple Basal Carcinoma so I know how this cancer can get deadly fast!  Keep yourself and other family members checked monthly as this can travel in families I have heard.  I am not sure if it is correct but better safe than sorry. It was wonderful that you asked for prayer as God is the Great Healer and who better to go to.  The more that come in his name he will hear.  I will keep you all in my prayers.  God Bless and I wish the best for you all.

My prayers are being sent out for you. My brother has cancer and we are praying for a miracle for him. God is very capable of giving miracles and we pray he gives you one as well. Rest and be blessed in Jesus Name.

My heart goes out to you Brenda my mom passed in 2005 from lung cancer but I will say if he has some quality or health left contact cancer centers of america they take some of the last hope patients that even MD Anderson told sorry basically go home nothing we can do (my mom) they not only bought her 2yrs AFTER being diagnosed with stage IV lung CA which is pretty darn good. More than that my mom was so depressed from everyone telling her to go home and wait to die that I know she would have passed quickly. I love that place they offer so much hope and do a lot with nutrition and alternative treatments too. They even have an employee that will drive you anywhere you want mall movie ect on the days that you feel better. Let me know if this is something he could health wise consider abd I'll tell you more. They also are wonderful with hospice care if needed. Praying for you and your family :(

There is a new drug for advanved melanoma called Zelboraf. It is shown to significantly help some advanced cases of metastatic melanoma. Please ask his oncologist if he can try it. You never know. G-d loves life, and it never hurts if we help open a few doors for a miracle as well!

Can you provide me with more info about the Cancer Centers of America with maybe a contact there and phone number. My brother has stage iv melanoma. he has taken four treatments of Yervoy and the cancer is still there. He's been going to Wake Forest Baptist Hosp in NC. I've not been impressed with this hospital.

Thank you
