Maybe I'm Just Paranoid But...

My grandmother died of Lukemia about 8 years ago. I believe. And what I remember most about the last visit was that she had a cold that she just couldn't get rid of. Shortly after she was diagnoised with it. Right now I'm ill. I'm worried that there is something wrong. I have what feels like a horrible cold. Despite any and all medication I've taken I continue to be hoarse with a sore throat. I'm extremely congested and have also been suffering from headaches. I've looked at symptoms of Leukemi and it says cold or flu like symptoms but are my symptoms close to those? I'm only 18 and it could be stress or exhuastion. But I tend to worry about what the worst possibility could be for me.

Wouldnt hurt to get it checked out. Have you been to your doc? A simple blood test called a CBC should help determine if its leukemia or not. A more likely diagnosis would be allergies, but your doc would be able to tell.
