I've been informed that this type of cancer is so rare there are no protocols for treatment. Has anyone had any experience with this? Wayne M.

I am very new to this, so bear with me. My husband was recently diagnosed with small cell carcinoma of the bladder which is very rare and the doctor's don't know how to treat him. I have been researching anything I could find with no luck. How can this be with all the medical technonolgy?

Good luck,
Louise

Hi: The basic chemo for this type of small cell cancer is usually carboplatin and etoposide.

Best Wishes,
Wayne
