Sutent was one of the avenues of treatment that was presented to us originally.  Our thoughts were to try the Sutent 1st and then maybe do the IL-2 but Dr Tykodi said if we are going to do the IL-2 to definately do it 1st.

Good luck.  It didn't sound as though your mother was on Sutent for very long so that may be a positive thing.

Re: "other suggestions".  A thing that helps me to this day is keeping a binder about my cancer and the treatment.  When I go to a medical appointment (there will be many) or have a conversation with the staff, I write down what was discussed.  I also record here questions to ask later.

I have one tab (section) for insurance and payment matters, one for test results, and another for work-related stuff (like  discussions with HR).

There are so many details that it can soon become an unorganized mess.  Organizing it this way helps me to feel more in control of my situation.
