How widely accepted is Medicare? supplemental? HELP!!

Hello..I am a 47yo male in Pittsburgh. Just started receiving SSDI and Medicare part A and B. Have carcinoid cancer, seizures, balance issues, vision (have cognitive, balance, vision, physical therapies about 6 to 10 times a week)...also on Octreotide LAR and about 13 meds. 1. Is medicare accepted at most places around the country? 2. Looking into Highmark MedigapBlue as supplement (would also sign up for D) but was kinda steered away as it only deals with places that accept Medicare. 3. highmark made it sound that Feedom Blue might be better..I would still pay for A & B but Medicare would be out of picture with Freedom Blue (includes prescriptions) being the insurance I am utilizing. Anyone have any suggestions as I need to sign up for something by tomorrow... HELP PLEASE
