Need Help with what to expect?

Hi, I just got diagnosed stage 2. I think I am a month behind you. can you tell me what has happened and what to expect?

i was diagnosed on Dec 27th i am getting a second opinion cause i didnt like what my surgeon said. So i cant really tell you what to expect.

Your Doctor will probably give you an exam to detect how big and where the tumor is exactly. You will probably have to have a port put in your chest if you have to go through chemo.

Well he told me that I would need a temporary illeosty my bag so my body could heal after surgery. He put me on chemo and radiation. He did an anal exam to see how far down the tumor was. If it was any farther then what it was, I would of had this illeostomy bag for the rest of my life. I get it removed in 2 weeks.

I am glad you get the bag takin off. i was very fortunate not to have one . Your story seems so close to mine

That the cancer was so low in my rectum that I would have a permanent colostomy. I read on MD Anderson web site that if could be done , without a permanent bag
