I am so sorry to hear that you are out of the study, Richard. I had my follow-up scan and am back in chemo. I had 4 small lesions appear on my scan- one is the same place where I had the surgery. The disease is still in my lymph system. We're trying a different combo of drugs. So far, so good, no reactions yet. I'll keep everyone posted. 

Keep us updated on this one i cant find were it has been used before for kidney cancer, but fingers xxxd it will work

I have started Interferon A it is a treatment that i used some 5 years ago with a bit of success so its fingers xxxd again

Good luck Richard! I hope Interferon A is your magic bullet. I've just started doxil. Crazy road we're all on, but as long as we can stay on the road I guess it's all good....

 So I don't often write here but let me say this.  My brothers best friend has RCC for at least 14 years.  He has liver mets.  He lives in the DC area and went to NIH Hopkins etc.  He settled for a doc in his local area that only gave him interferon.  He had the infusions for a long long time like years.  He has not evidence of disease.  They are hard he said and his was urinating brown as he was losing muscle but he seems to be cured.  So stay strong and know that for 14 years it worked for someone.  He could not even tell me his histology when I asked so I cannot offer that.  Sorry.

Thanks for your info i first started Interferon 5 1/2 years ago was on it for 1 year and it reduced the mets to below measurable size, after that when they came back i was out on Sutent now that stopped so hope Interferon does the job again i have a scan in 12 weeks so that when we gewt to know
