Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for GBM Patients

Hello all. It has been quit sometime since I've posted. Mom is doing well and is now 3 years post tumor removal and now taking Avastin alone. All MRI's have been clear for over a year and a half. It has been quit the jouney. (I'm sure you all understand)

I wanted to know if anyone knew of any GBM patients that used Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, and if so is there a benefit to using it? A hospital in our area wants to do a consulation with my mom and I wasn't sure if we should go. We spoke with her Neurologist about it and he just said there was no reseach for GBM patiets that he knew of. 

If anyone has used it or is contimplating using it I would love to hear your expericences. Thanks!

How wonderful that youe Mother is doing so well, gives us lots of hopes.

Did she have any recurrrence for taking Avastin ??

She has been recurrence free since just doing Avastin alone. Im not even as nervous anymore when she does scans. She will do one within the next 2 weeks. I promise to keep you all updated. 

Hello, I thought i'd tell you that my Dad was diagnosed with a nasty GBM on 5/1/2011 and we just finished 40 sessions of oxygen therapy to combate the necrosis caused by radiation. I can update you in a few months to let you know if it had anti tumor effects as well. My research suggests that it should.

We are considering doing another 2 rounds of Avastin to combat radiation necrosis, but are nervous because after the first 3 rounds we did six months ago Dad had some spontaneous external bleeding and his voice turned into a whisper. How frequently does your mom do Avastin still, and what are her side effects if any? thanks!

i always thought hyperbaric oxygen therapy helped people heal faster, so it is a good treatment for the body.  Where it is used for many different reasons, I have a friends who's son was affixiated with carbon monoxide poisoning.  They put him in a hyperbaric oygen environment and he is doing well.

My mom takes Avastin once a month alone. She's been able to skip two months lat year.
