Would like to talk find out about types of communication after total voice box removed

I am sorry to hear about your father. My brother is also in the same boat, he see's a doctor this Thursday. Please let me know what information you found out. My brother might have to have his voice box removed too.

Hi my name is Linda My Dad on Dec.29,2007 Just had voice box and cords removed and what we do for now is let the answering machine get the phone and for him to communicate he writes things down we just have to becareful not to move on to different subjects to fast.and if he needs help he calls and has a hand bell and rings it into the phone.but sometimes he can say some words he is starting to teach himself how to talk again take care and god bless you and your family
