My dad diacnosed with prostate cancer july 2010.

My dad diacnosed with advanced metasis prostate cancer july 2010.  He was in the hormone theorpy for one year.  Then the psa increasing. the doctors said that he need to go for the chemo, but my dad doesnot like it.

Now he has lots of pain in the body.  Does any one know how long he can live

please let me know

Hi lovelyvijay dont lose hope just yet how long he can live is up to god, But  he can reduce the pain in his body, in 2008 I was once this way I to was also diagnosed with advanced metastatic prostate cancer . it was once in my ribs my lower bacl and a later bone scan found it in my lower jaw but Im free of it now, back then because of a heart condition most treatment bar radiation were out for me.  So the only treatment I had left were the holistic ones. though  I seen a naturopath I did not beleave she could help me, I mean how could she  but the first thing she did was  put me on  a restricked low cab no sugary food diet   and high doses of antiocidents this was very heard for me as I just love sugary foods, but I went on it for my wife and kids with in just a few weeks I begin to fell better Ive been on a host of other thing but the main thing is nutrition and the importance of vitamin supplements in our daily food intake.help with any cancer at any stage if you want to know more let me know God bless you both Ray

  

The disease is highly variable from person to person.  It can be a short period of time to a number of years or a decade plus.  It depends on how he has responded to past treatment, what treatments you are planning to give him (as there are several for metestatic cancer and post taxotere treatments), if he is refusing treatment, what his bone scans show, what his original gleeson score was, what his change in psa over time is, etc. etc.

Normally a good option for hormone refractory metestatic disease is provenge, if you dad is not taking any narcotics for pain.

 I feel may be a very good idea but it quite exspenive the way it works is PROVENGE is designed to train the  body's immune cells to seek and attack prostate cancer cells. By stimulating the natural ability of immune cells already in his  blood, So PROVENGE may help him live longer.

hi thanks for ur reply.  whats the natural food. can you please tell me whats the good vitamins for the prostate cancer.  My dad getting weak now days. he doesnot want to eat that much..  alos he is worry too much about him self and me... i have no one except my dad.. my mom also passeaway because of the cancer.... please help to save my dad if you can.... he is scared that he cannot walk any more.. when he walk some time he feels that he going to fall down.. some time he cannot move his leg or take a step...

so  he want to go to nurcsing home.. but i like to keep him and take care of him until he go way from me... can i keep jim until he die at my home

lovelyvijay I had tears in my eyes reading this. First off as long as he is in not to much pain should be OK I seen a lot of my family die from cancer in hospital so I feel it be worst in hospital as in hospital or at home though he still would only get palliative care.  At home with you he have more control if it If he is low on cash I start off with what I first did in 2008 high dose of Antioxidants these slow the cancer metastasis down. one of the best  high dose Antioxidant I went on. in 2008 was just  vitamin C but because vitamin c only stays in our body four hours and  except when I was asleep I had to have  2000mg or 2  grams of vitamin BIO C every four hours The BIO C better as it doesn't play up on you digestive system as much as ascorbic acid vitamin C dos,  You can get 1000mg BIO C  tablets from most shops that sell vitamins.

 I also went on part of the bud wig anti cancer diet. I  started off with just  flack seed oil and cottage cheese. ( have alook at the link) there other stuff he can do also,  like just 6 aprecot pits a day, will also slow and stop his metastasis but it just these two are more easy to get at for now but I feel these two will make things a lot easier for him and for you

thanks for ur response.  i feel some kind of  strengh now.  i was worried too much.  i have my dad only.  my mom also passed away when i was 14 years old by cancer.   she only live  months after she dianosed with cancer.   I want my dad to live with me until he die.  Also, i just finished my study and got a job.  I need to take care him now by my self.  i want buy for him what ever he like and want cook for him what ever food he likes.  so i need him for atleast  2 to 3 years.  Its enough for me

the human body is very tough and Im only say this because your dad said he doesent like chemo. I was just thinking  Its   to bad you cant get the  Aprecot pits I was on  in your country with the pinapple enzime and zinc they realy help me  and I had bone mets stage 4 cancer in remishion now
