Prayers to his family and his loved ones. He was such a fighter and had a wonderful sense of humor that came across well on these boards. You could feel his warmth and kind spirit. He was honest and frank. I hope with time, the pain of his loss will get easier.

I'm so saddened to hear this. Rick was a lovely man and an inspirition to all. I will miss reading his encouraging words. My deepest condolences to his much loved wife and family.

Looks like he passed soon after his wife put the hospice message on his profile. :(

So sad. Very sorry for everyone Rick loved or knew. He had such a personality. A real gem. Gonna cheer on the Cubbies in his honor.

I'm so sad to hear this. I always enjoyed reading his posts because he was so positive and was everyone's cheerleader. His passing is a great loss to so many. My thoughts and prayers are with all of his family and friends. He will be truly missed.
