Metastized Lung Cancer With Blood Clots

We found out in July of this year my Dad has non-small cell lung cancer that has metastized. It is is his bronchial tube, the lymph nodes between his lungs, spine, left pelvis bone and his brain. He had 10 radiation treatments and two rounds of chemo (Taxol and Carbo). He is scheduled for the 3rd round of chemo next week. All of his blood work came back fine at his last Doctor visit. Today, we found out he has blood clots in both lungs. He is in the hospital now on blood thinners. The Dr. on call says the next three days are very critical. He says there are not many options.

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. My father has also been diagnosed with lung cancer that has spread to the brain this July. At this point we aren't sure where else it has spread. He has done 10 sessions of full brain radiation, and now is to start chemo. He tried taxotere on friday, but was allergic to it. So we go back this friday to see what other options there are. I will keep you in my thoughts. Hang in there, believe me,I know its tough.
