I had a hystorectomy on February 17, 2012, due to a tumer found in my cervix.

A biopsy wasn't able to be done pre-op, and was told 99.99% it was b-9.  I didn't even give it a second thought.

Then about 1 week after my surgery, my Doctor - Dr. Richard Fink, Seven Hills Womens Health Center Called me to tell me that the tumer was malignant.  The doctors at Christ Hospital, Cincinnati could not identify it, so it was sent to the Mayo Clinic.

This is my final diagnosis:
  • Undifferentialted (high-grade) endometrial stromal sarcoma
  • Tumor measures 4.5 cm in maximal dimention
  • tumor extends to within 1 mm of inked soft tissue margins
  • Foci suspiciaous for lymphvascular space invasion
  • inactive endomtrium
Surgery was done on March 23rd,Dr. Marcia Bowling, oncology and she removed 12 lymphnodes and did a pelvic wash - The overies, the lymphnodes and the pelvic was all came back negative for cancer cells.

Pet Scan done on March 16th came back negative for cancer - full body scan

Do you recomend this additional treatment?
  • radiation - 6 weeks of radiation 5 days a week for 6 weeks.,
  • 4 days of Chemo, every 21-28 days for 4 months using the drugs Ifosfamide and adriamycin/doxorubicin.

Has anyone had this treatment or this desease?
