Need advice quickly. My mum i s only 60 yrs old. Was diagnosed with colon cancer stage 4 in sep 2011. STill alive. Had 10 rounds of quimo. First quimo did not work. Now on Folfox 2 rounds, but about to give up as she gets really sick. Has got very thin. Who out there is alive with alternative treatment for this cancer?

I have read many many promising accounts with the use of Flor Essence (Essiac) and Oncolyn. I have my father in law on both now as he has been on chemo for colon cancer. He has four rounds left and swears by his Flor Essence for pain and energy. He has felt crummy for sure but has not surcummed to the vomiting that can accompany chemo.

Have also read large dosages of curcumin, milk thistle, Bromlain and Digestive enzymes as well. Pau D Arco also.

Wishing you the Best and hoping this can help.

If you can't find any personal accounts on this site, you can call the Gerson Institute in California, that does the Gerson therapy. If you ask, they'll give you names and phone numbers of colon C survivors using their therapy for you to call and talk to

From researching C several yrs now, it seems one of the most important factors, if not the most important,  in overcoming, is restoring the function and health of the digestive tract. This starts with restoring the liver. Gerson therapy is the best out there at doing just that

You can start right now at home with doing water retention enemas, followed by coffee enemas. If you can afford it, colon hydrotherapy by a trained therapist

Thank you so much. Where do you buy all your natural medicine you quote?

My wifes mother used the B17 apricote seed method along with high ph water  no sugar diet and cabbage juicing. She did 8 sessions of folfox 4 along with it and less than 4 months in antigen counts were down to normal and MRI scans showed no cancer in the lymp nodes anymore. This month howerver it appears that she may have deviated from her diet and her antigen counts are higher than normal. We are coming up on one year. We aren are doing more testing but her embryonic antigen count is up to 19 up from 10 a month ago and that 10 was up from 3 to 5 3 months ago. C reactive count is double normal as well, but she did go from stage 4 to no cancer in a short time. The doctors said chemo alone would not have done it. Who knows.

A wonderful curcumin supplement, Super Bio-Curcumin, is made by LEF (Life Extension Foundation); its vegetarian, and has  exceptionally high bio-availability.  LEF is also a great resource for both cancer info  (they produce lots of research articles), and supplements, in general.   Their website is:
www.LEF.com

To purchase their supplements (and many other brand names) for a discounted price, definitely check out a site likewww.iHerb.com

Dr.Bharat Aggarwal, from MD Anderston Cancer Center, has been studying how curcumin fights cancer for almost 2 decades.  Google his name, and you'll find tons of stuff there as well.  I think curcumin is particularly useful in cases of colon cancer.

Lastly, Green Med Info, is a phenomenal resource for all things alternative.  They link to evidence-based, peer-reviewed, Pub Med articles, and always provide citations. Its a wonderful website.www.greenmedinfo.com

Best of luck to you and your mom!  :)

My wife, although not classified as stage 4, has been pronounced "cured" of colon cancer, based upon colonoscopy, MRI, blood work, etc., after 3 years of alternative treatment, following colon surgery.

Re your mother: it is much more difficult if you have undergone any chemo, radiation, or most allopathic drugs, as they compromise the immune system.  (Surgeon was apalled that my wife did not swallow their dictates for chemo, etc.)

Protocol was heavy vitamin supplements, up to 100 daily; many standard, some esoteric, such as Delta Tocotrienols (taken separate from other Es/tocotrienols) for instance; many others; also look into LDN (low dose naltrexone.).

But primary treatment was 2-3 times weekly heavy Vit C IV (best to go to 150 grams, although many alternative MD will only go to 100 grams; & an unusual, holistic, chemo agent -- with virtually no negative side effects -- Ukrain.  The late Robert Atkins, MD, thought Ukrain could be a universal cancer cure.  Considerable research avail.

Above C & Ukrain IVs, were mostly twice weekly, for 3 years.

A partial, to mostly raw organic food diet.

Above just a start, but you really need a good holistic MD, with experience with colon cancer.

You could also look into other alternative treatments, such as hyperthermia, IPT, dendritic cell, etc.; many only avail outside the U.S., unfortunately.

Good luck.
