In october I had a 16cm tumor removed from my liver. Yesterday I found out I have 4 tumors, biggerst are 5 cm. I do have Hep C

I have been doing so well since the surgery, playing lots of basketball and eating right, not bad for 55 years old.

So its back to sloan where they will most likely Hepatic Artery Embolization without chemo. I am looking for any positive feedback on this procedure. My email address isnmarchic@twcny.rr.com

thanks for reading

Which Docs in Sloan are treating you. I also have colon cancer with several mets to all segments of the liver. Am based in India but have sought second opinion at Sloan. Can u tell me who did your surgery on the liver the first time and any particular reason for tumours to come back again. In my opinion u r talking about the HAI pump that dr K at slan installs where chemo is given directly. Why dont u also google cryotherapy and microwave ablation and Henry ford centre at Detroit and Wayne state univ , u will come across a women health Magazinecarticle, The link is http://awomanshealth.com/progress-provides-hope/ Hope it helps Shitul

Shitul: My Surgeon was Dr Jarnigan at Sloan, I am going to see doctor Ann Cover for the procedure.http://www.vitals.com/doctors/Dr_Anne_Covey

I have Hep C with cirossios which is causing the tumors. They are going to go in and cut the blood supply to the tumors. They are not giving me any Chemo at this point, I will find out more next week when I go for my consultation

Thanks for the link I will look at it ..
