Dad lost his battle with cancer

We are praying for you and your family at this very difficult time.  God is good because He gives us memories that allows us to remember our loved ones - and the times we shared for years to come until we meet them again.  I have always admired those who "celebrate a loved one's life" after they pass.  I'm sure your father is a man that accomplished a great deal in his life - and left behind many who admired and loved him.  What more can one ask for?!

My dad had stage 4 pancreatic cancer tha spread to his liver, lungs and spine. It eventually spread all over. He didn't deserve this. He was a great guy who never smoked or drank in his life. I am only 23 years old. It is really hard to lose a parent. His wake is tomorrow and his funeral is saturday. He is going to have a police ceremony since he was part of the police department.R.I.P Dad. You were the best father in the world.

You will always have your father in your heart,mind and soul. You will never be without him, and he is now out of his pain..my father is very close to losing his "battle" with cancer..he is 86, and they said the chemo would kill him. So I am just taking care of him, keeping him as pain free as possible....and knowing that soon he will be in a better place...but NEVER out of my heart....He has been my rock, since I was 5 yrs old.I can not imagine life without him.

I join in everyone else's sadness and sympathy for the loss of your father at such an early age (although NO age ever seems 'old enough'). Hold close to the love and memories your wonderful father gave you and carry that with you for your lifetime.

I truly speak from the heart, as my own father (who will be 63 in less than 2 weeks) is nearing the end of his own battle with PC. Like yours, my father is a WONDERFUL, loving man who devoted the best yrs of his life to caring for and providing for his family. While we never wish ill on ANYONE, we always wonder, "Why the good guys?" It just doesn't seem fair, does it?

I pray that you will find peace and strength beyond your father's passing. The best thing you can do is to honor your father by being the kind of man he was as you continue to grow. I'm sure nothing would make him prouder!

soo sorry for your lost. its crazy how you can lose someone so close to you.

My father also passed away from the same cancer but my father only lasted 13 days.

The wake was beautiful. There were a lot of people. I couldn't believe how many people there were . The police ceremony was really emotional. My dad received a lot of flowers . He also got one from the police commissioner.
