Hi everyone, my name is Shadene. I've been diagnosed with HPV. After my Pap, my doctor told me that i have mild dysplasia. The problem is i have one sex partner(who gave me d STI  almost 2yrs ago) we both have it so should we use protection and can it get worst if we don't?? Can someone please respond to my question because we have been having unprotected sex and i just don't know what to think anymore.

I asked a friend of mine who is a nurse, she said:

You should ask your doctor but .....consistent use of condoms lessens the risk of further exposure to HPV and protects the cervix from further irritation.

In some mild cases of dysplasia it can clear on its own, over a period of time - others need intervention.

Be careful not to irritate it further - maybe condoms are the best way to go?

Good Luck x
