Stage 4 - advise for two stage liver resection

Hi,  I went and met a liver surgeon here in Mumbai, India who is supposed to be very good but very very busy ! Liked at my scans of 6 th march and he would advise i get a two stage liver resection. He would first take out the left lbe in the first surgery and then after a few months the right lobe and primary tumour. Bit similar to the UCLA recommendation but the other way around. He then advised me to take a 3d Ct scan without pet. I did that yesterday and results are expected today. However, my oncologist wants me to go for 6 months of chemo, four alread over.  The surgeon thinks that this much additional chemo may make the liver toxic and resection then would be problematic or not possible. From what I have read the six months of FOLFOX 4 plus erbitux is standard without much affecting the liver. Currently my liver function tests are all ok.  I am confused what to do ? Go for the chemo now and get mets to reduce further and go for the surgery OR go for surgery now ? Anyone has any sound advise on this ? Pl help if u can. I will know results of the 3d Ct scan I did yesterday by today afternoon ( yup, in India this is faster than USA ). I have a meeting again with the surgeon after I get the report of my latest 3d Ct scan. I will keep you posted. As u may know I have mets to all segments of my liver. Chemo had partial response and tumour sizes decreased to 5 cm and 6 cm from 11 cm and 13 cm for the largest tumours present before chemo.  Any advise or suggestions about whether i go for more chemo and surgery OR surgery at the earliest ? I would prefer to have the surgery in USA but the surgeon in India says post op care better here. I am confused.
