Do i have Laryngeal Cancer (throat cancer) ?

I have been smoking on and off for about 6 months, im 14 years old, this is not the time to judge. It seems for the last three months i have been prone to tonsillitus, i have had it 4 times this year already. I always seem to have a chesty cough which has given me a sore throat for a while now . For about a month, i have felt something in my throat when i swallow, so that there isnt anything visible but it feels more tight when i do swallow. Also i have noticed that i have a line of yellow stuff down the back of my throat. I just assumed this was tonsilltius but i have no white spots on my tonsills. there are red blood marks on my tonsills. I am always coughing. And also i have had swollen glands for a while now, i assumed, again, that it was just another sign of tonsillitus but that doesnt appear to be the case. As im only 14 i should not be jumping to conclusions and do not want to talk to my parents as i could be completely wrong. Someone please help me. Thanks

Trust me you don't have laryngeal cancer from 6 months of smoking on and off.  You need to have your parents take you to the doctor.  And if this is a joke, it is a sick joke for those on this board who really are fighting cancer.

noo this is not a joke i promise, i know but maybe ive had it longer? I dont know, i was jsut worried and the yellow stuff down my throat if freaking me out, i dunno if its from smoking so i cant tell my parents :S

Yellow stuff down the back of your throat is generally from a sinus infection.  You need to see an ENT or your family doctor.  You might need to have your tonsils out.  Laryngeal cancer doesn't have yellow stuff running down the back of your throat. Forget about the smoking.  You would have to be smoking for years.  Tell your parents but not about the smoking then if you are so worried about then finding out and leave the cigarette alone.  Infections, left untreated can get into your body stream and damage your heart.

My husband has laryngeal cancer and he had to have his voicebox removed.  Now there is another cancer in his esophagus.  Years of smoking and drinking.  Wake up before it is too late.  Smoking also damages your heart and lungs.
