Hello to EC patients and caregivers,

Please if you know of the important questions to ask before accepting surgery for EC. My husband will meet with the thoracic surgeon following an x ray, would like to know what is critical in the discussion.

The basic questions to ask are: why is it necessary?, what are the risks?, what are the alternatives? How long to recuperate after the procedure?, what if we opt out of surgery? what are the side effects of the surgery? What kind of anesthesia will be used? Go on line and read everything you can about EC.
