There is a website put together by two people who have had PRRT.  You can see if it has cost information on it.  The link is below.

I had the PRRT last year in Switzerland. They gave me 2 treatments a couple of months apart. The cost was $10,000 for each treatment plus expenses such as air and hotel, etc. they want you to stay in the hospital 3 days and then remain in the country for another few days. The treatment was an IV push that took about 15 seconds. This is supposedly going to give you another 5 years till tumors start growing and another 5 years you have to seek treatment again. If you have any more questions regarding this PRRT let me know and I'll try to help you. Rhonda

My wife has been treated at the Erasmus hospital in Holland. The cost for four treatments was just under 16,000. Their web site is www.erasmusmc.nl /?lang=en Hope this helps. They to need you to stay a few days after. We normally stayed a week. The PRRT we used was Lu 177. She responded well. They also have a family house which a lot cheaper than a hotel. Feel free to write back. Randy

My wigfe was diagnosed in feb this year. went to Houston for the clinical trial of lu-177(just did one treatment) the cost there for that is $60,000 for four cycles. their still accepting patients. There is a world wide trial of Lu-177  starting up very soon , cost is free. Nut you have to have Mid-gut to get into thgat one. we are leaving for Bad berka on Monday 7/30 to continue her treatment over there, similar cost to Houston BUT a lot more bang for the buck! like someone else has said go to prrt.info for information or carcinoid n.org oir even better go sign up at Acor thats the place to be for all your Questions. Rhonda,

Thank you for the info.  I'll be heading to Switzerland for my first treatment around Dec/Jan.  Getting some aggressive chemo here (around Sept/Oct) before I go.  Thanks for letting me know the cost.  Working to see what assistance we can get regarding airline tickets, travel expenses, and hopefully assistance with treatment payments as well.

Thanks again,

Jen Holm

Just had an Octreoscan and ct done and results show that my tumors are the same as the scans done in 2007 so looks like the PRRT might just be worth adding a few more years on to my life. Amazing, huh? Just isn't fair though that the people who have money can get this done and the people that don't can't. Doesn't seem fair. I understand that Novartis is trying to keep this out of the US....it's always a money thing, huh?? Good luck to you and I will for sure keep you in my prayers. Rhonda

I agree.  I haven't heard about Novartis trying to keep it out of the US.  I'm trying to get 5 more yrs and I hope that the PRRT (aka LU-177) treatment can get me there!  :)
