I'm clueless, i'm a 42 years old i live in south florida 1 hour from miami. I just found out i have carcinoid tumors in my liver. This coming week find out where else throughout my body i may have the tumors.

Hi Brenda. My dad was diagnosed his yr too with liver cancer. His is HCC and he is on stage 4. Wait until doctors give u more information, but please!!! Start eating organic and start taking supplements like multivitamins, fish oils and a supplement call IP6 for ur immune system. Eat as many berries as u can and also if u r able to drink mangosteen, this juice is a great antioxidant that will help ur liver through this. I am praying for u and just like my dad u will leave for yrs to come. Nelvi

He has hepatocellular carcinoma. Liver cancer. Just be careful with certain treatments. He had done TACE, is a procedure that inject chemo directly into the tumor and at the same time it cuts the main blood cell supply to the cancer. Unfortunately, we r at the ER tonight because today he had a CT scan done that shows a blood cloth in his liver and it's believe is from his trestment. I pray to God that he does ok and the doctor said that it seems the cancer has also spread. I hope its just a mistake, but if is not then he will be starting on this med called nexavar. Please take care of yourself and think through any procedure u get done. Dad want to go for it and we supported him, but I wish I would of known a little bit more of the side effects. Hi Brenda, I was diagnoised 3 yrs ago with carcinoid cancer. the primary was in my small intestine and they removed it with my gallbladder. now i have several tumors on my liver one being the size of a grapefruit :(. we did the scan and watch for three yrs now i have to go do a thing where they shoot stuff right at the tumors to try and shrink them. so sorry to hear about yours good luck and keep us posted.
