Hi Brenda,

I'm Linda, I live in Houston and I was diagnosed with carcinoid cancer in October of 2009.  While I'm no expert on carcinoid cancer, I would be more than happy to chat with you and hopefully give you support or point you in the right direction.  If you would like to talk, please send me a private reply and we'll set something up.

You might also check out crazysexylife.com .  It was a website started several years ago by Kris Carr, who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer (pancreatic maybe?) and her website and blog is a wonderful resource of info, as well as a fantastic place for support.  There are many groups you can join on there, 2 being Metatastic and Rare cancers, and the other being Neuroendicrine/Carcinoid group.  I belong to both and they are a great place to be a part of!

Hi Brenda,   Two resources that are really helpful for people with carcinoid are:

Carcinoid Cancer Foundation at http://www.carcinoid.org/content/newly-diagnosed-basics

Caring for Carcinoid Foundation at:http://www.caringforcarcinoid.org/

And the American Cancer Online Resources (ACOR) has a special listserve just for Carcinoid patients and it provides an amazing network of supportive patients and a physician who specializes in carcinoid.

Hope this helps!
