Looking for someone who had radiation AND chemo

who also had panc. cancer in the tail (over the splenic vein)with spread to liver and stomach lining.  Dr's are saying radiation won't help!?!?! only offer chemo.  would love to hear other's experiences with this please! Thank you!!

My husband had chemo and radiation and we are hoping that it shrinks away from the arteries so that he can have the Whipple. That is our goal. It is not in the liver or the lining of the stomach but he did have radiation in the stomach to prevent this. The radiation was 28 days. His treatment was folfirinox and then gemzar, radiation with gemzar and now just gemzar. We are still positive and he walks every day. Hope this helps.

My husband had PC in the tail and spread to 5 lymph nodes had distal surgery 05-2011. He is doing fine. He had chemo and radiation at the same time at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore
