I have just been diagnosed with bladder cancer and the urologist say the bladder, prostate, and lymph nodes need to be removed.  He says a neobladder is what he recommends.  He did not even suggest an indiana pouch?

You will find many people on the sight Inspire, Bladder Cancer Advocacy Group, http://www.inspire.com/groups/bladder-cancer-advocacy-networ You will get so many opinions your head will sway. I had this done, i opted for the external pouch instead of the neo bladder. Mostly because i researched it all and there was lots of problems with incontinence, especially the first year, and wearing diapers didn't really appeal to me. We have had many discussions on Inspire about this all, some are quite happy with the neo bladder , some are not and have all kinds of problems. Sorry you have joined our group and i know it is scary as hell. I had bladder cancer stage 4 that spread to my ribs and a lung. It's been a four year battle and i was declared in remission in August. So hang in there and if you have any questions or anything, ask anytime. Dave
