I have not been on in a while, but those of you who know me, and read some of my posts know I been fighting Colon Cancer that my husband has had for the last 4, yr's.  There just was no more they could do, he passed peacefully with me by his side.  He was the love of my life, we had great Doctor's , and we will miss him dearly.   But he was tough, he fought it hard.

For all of you fighting the same battle may you win.  Bless all Cancer fighter's, don't give in, keep fighting.  We did and I'm happy for the time we had together.  Bless you all.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I lost my 58 year old husband Joe to EC with mets to the liver 10 months ago. From diagnosis to passing was only 9 months but I too treasure the time we had together...I only wish it had been a lot longer.

Hugs and Prayers

And I lost my love Dec. 9.

There is nothing anyone can say or do that really helps - bless them for trying. You can come to the bereavement board here and let it all out. We understand. We know.

I am so sad for you. It is so hard but I have flashes of peace every once in awhile. I'll pray you get many of them.

I am sorry to hear about your husband. My husband who is a 9 year testicular survior is now battling stage four colon cancer, I truley did not know the true devistation of it untill today.

He just finished his 12th round of chemo, consisting of 5fu and Avastin. I thought that would be all. The dr informed me otherwise today.

We can say he is in remission as of today, I do thank God for that, but we do know that it will come back.

He will always be on chemo or something to keep it at bay. Right now it is Avastin. He will continue with the 5 fu, well everything exept the oxcolyplatin, then they will  keep him on Avastin. If we stop all treatment it will start growing again.

He will die from it. Yes we do not know when, I do pray that I will get the 4 years that you got with your husband. I know it does not seem long enough. I want longer, my kids want longer!!!!

Our kids are 4 and 6. I want them to have a dad!

I do not know how to deal with this!!!

I think we all must have asked the same question over and over again,   WHY!!!!

This is all new to me. I found out today from the dr the true meaning of stage 4 colon cancer. My husband has only been fighting for 9 months, He is a hard ass and I know it. I sure hope he stays that way.

I think this is supposed to be a positive and uplifting site, I am sorry if I have upset anyone. I will say, we are not giving up, It is just a hard pill to swallow!!!!

Any body know people who have lived a while with this. I would love to know!!!

Thank  you all sooooo much!!!  chirsty

May God bless and comfort you. I am a 15 year colon cancer survivor. My wife was by my side during the battle, just like you were with your husband. Know that you were an angel of mercy to him. Loving spouses ate the unsung heros of that devastating disease. On behalf of your husband and all of us that have had devoted and loyal spouses like you, thank you very much.

Thank you so much, I was missing him so much right now, and I turned on the computer and saw your kind words and it did help, thank you so much,  I knew I did all I could do, I have no regrets, it was my pleasure to care for my Love of my life, I'm just sad is all I can say, I miss everything about him, his smile , his laughter, his smell, I miss him.  I keep waiting for him to ask for me, or get him what he needed. I just miss him.

I hope God does bless me and help  me to stop crying, I'm mad, I'm sad, I want him back.... only peace I have is he"s done with the suffering.  Someday I pray we will be one again,.

Dear,
Every one has to go one day. But to loose a loved one is most difficult.

Now dear do whatever you can to help the people suffering from this dreadful diesease. Few words of love and a caring hand will play wonders.
May God give you  streangth to over pass this phase. It is very difficult but I think after reading your message you are very brave and stayed by the side of your husband when he needed you most.
Think only what he would want you to do. And Do that He will also be happy and you will also be satisfied.
