My husband is almost four weeks post open left nephrectomy for RCC.His pain has improved quite a bit, but he has been having tingling and numbness in arms and legs last couple of days. He saw the doctor last week and everything was healing okay. Any thoughts on this or has anyone experienced similar symptoms? Thanks in advance for any info.

Hi,

I am 6 weeks post radical R nephrectomy.  I still get numbness in my L middle finger-this has reduced from being my whole arm, then fingers, now just the one finger and usually only when I am in a sitting position (but I had these symptoms immediately after surgery).   I feel that it is from surgical positioning and that I probably need a chiropractor manipulation to get back in alignment.   ( I also had a significant infiltration of my IV so this added to the numbness).

HOWEVER, if his numbness and tingling is new-go see the doctor.   Any new issues should be reported.  Do you know if his blood is low (H&H)? as this might also add to that problem.
