Hi all,

According to Nexavar's website, the drug extends life expectancy for unresectable liver cancer for 6-8 months and even up to 5 yrs.

Do you know of anyone with unresectable liver cancer who has been on Nexavar/Sorafenib for longer than 2 yrs? 5 yrs even?

I would be very interested in hearing your experiences.

Thank you and my best wishes to everyone struggling with this disease.

Hi, I was on Sorafenib for about 18 months until I was switched to Nexar because my cancer was metastasizing. I was only on Nexavar for a few months due to really bad side affects and cancer continuing to spread. I was switched to a 3 combo oral IV chemo drug(s) in June 2011, and so far, it is holding my cancer at bay. I have paraganglioma. Diagnosed in 2008. I have 12 lesions/rumors in my body, but I still carry on a normal life as much as possible. I still work full time. In answer to your original question, I have 4 tumors in my liver, and had chemo embolization procedure May 2011. You can beat this. Just remember to always put God first. My family and friends will tell you that I am a walking miracle. May God bless you as you continue your journey of 100% healing. Blessings, Brenda

I have taken nexavar for last 3 months my liver cancer is inoperable...however liver is not only not growing but also it has shrunk....now have a 6mo. Refill to see if it shrinks futher..hope this helps and gives some hope...i'm a christian and believe this body will leave this earth when god calls for me not a minute before or after no matter the doctors say. Just take one day at atime just as if you dont have cancer..enjoy your friends and family
