How do lifestyle factors and exposure to environmental substances affect our cancer risk?

I had uterus cancer had a hysterectomy,BC 2.1 mm had lumpectomy now on arimidex and had radiation. My regular doc told me my thyroid is shutting down put me on medicine and I am going for a sos of thyroid. I asked if it was cancer she said its not a typical sign. More to worry about!
