I posted a question I had regarding staging and surgery for stage 1v lung cancer patients, still till this date, I have not heard from one person in response. I can only come to two conclusions: first being that my question was too hard to answer, or secondly that this is the worst support group I have ever encounted on the internet. I've been a member for some time here, and this is not the first time this has happened to me or others here.

My question is this: have any of you at stage 4 had standard surgeries? I would like to hear from you, and would appreciate any and all input.

I'm sorry you feel so discouraged by us here in the lung cancer group.  Let me answer this for you, first I've never heard of anyone being operated on with stage 4 lung cancer.   I did not respond to your first post since I had no personal experience with your question.  I left it for someone else with personal experience to answer.  Now, since no one has responded, I'll tell you that your problem getting a response may just well be that a person who had similar experience to yours may not be a survivor.

The only other advice I could offer is that if you are not compfortable with your diagnosis, and have any doubts about the staging, then seek out another opinion.  And I would say to start with a medical college.  Other than that, I am again, sorry you feel you've been ignored.   This is a tough path for all of us, lung cancer sucks, along with all the other cancers.

Take care, and I hope you are successful seeking an explanation to your staging,   Byrd
