I am 7 months post breast cancer radiation.  Stage 1, lumpectomy, no chemo and now on Arimidex.  i have noticed over the last few months a tenderness in my ribs on the side where I had radiation.  I have read that this could be a side effect of radiation by my Rad Onc says no.  Anybody experience this?  Many thanks!

I am 6 months post cancer radiation, stage 2, lumpectomy with chemo before radiation.  I have noticed a slight aching in the midriff area on the radiation side and have also wondered if this is a side effect of the radiation treatment.

I've experienced a similar symptom after six months after the op. It was more like having bruises on my ribs where I had the op. plus radiation, although nothing was to be seen on the skin. It's gone after a month or so.

I had radiation for my breast cancer in 2007.  My ribs are still tender to the touch.  It is a side effect that can stay with you for life.

Hello.. l too have sore ribs..Just started with them seeing the onc. in two weeks..l refused Tamoxafin and they want me to go on Arimidex.. But after reading all the blogs on it, not sure l want to go on that either..i wonder if there are any natural estro blockers out there..??

i know of some women that have taken no medication and they are still cancer free..And that is stage 3-4 not stage 1 no chemo.. ?  not sure i want to talk the stuff.?
